<div>In December 2024, Mistie and her family encountered a series of unexpected challenges. On Christmas Eve, her husband lost his job, and in February 2025, Mistie underwent two major stomach surgeries. She was initially reliant on a feeding tube, which was removed in April but had to be replaced in October due to complications.

<div>In October 2025, she also had surgery to correct a twisted small intestine. However, the removal of the remaining portion of her stomach is still needed due to ongoing malnourishment and the need to gain weight.

<div>As Mistie worked to recover and return to work, her husband continued to face employment difficulties, and the family experienced significant financial strain. <strong>Just when hope seemed on the horizon, Mistie faced another health setback in October, requiring additional surgery.</strong>

<div>In addition to these medical challenges, their home was damaged by a rat that chewed through water pipes, causing extensive damage to five rooms. Unfortunately, insurance did not cover all the repair costs, adding more financial burden.
