Born in Japan and raised in Florida, Sam Masaru Sekoff was a beloved literary manager in Los Angeles, dedicated to uplifting underrepresented and marginalized artists. Left parentless at age 13 and placed in a group home, Sam grew up with his sister Sachi as his one steady tie to family—a bond that only deepened over the years. He worked tirelessly to build a life for himself, earning a scholarship to USC and creating a community that became his chosen family. Sam’s life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and the transformative power of education.

 Sam adored his niece, Mena Shaver Sekoff, a bright, curious, and beautiful five-year-old. They shared countless adventures together, from exploring Japan to kayaking side by side. When Sam became a manager at 360, he started a college fund for Mena, determined to give her the opportunities he had to fight so hard for himself. Education meant everything to Sam—not just for the doors it opened, but for the community it fostered. Sam's passing has left an unimaginable void in the lives of Mena, her parents Sachi and Kyle, and everyone who loved him.

 While Sam began a college fund for Mena, it was left incomplete. This fundraiser is dedicated to finishing what Sam so lovingly started, ensuring Mena has the support she needs to pursue her education and future. Funds raised will go directly to Mena's family.
