<div>Very shortly her oldest daughter, Melody, will be having a very invasive surgery to remove her left eye. Melody (and Jenalysse and her youngest daughter) all have a genetic syndrome called “Cat Eye Syndrome”. For Melody it affects her eye.

<div>for years she has been going to get a partial prosthetic put in every 6 weeks, but now it has become too painful.

</div>

<div>There is also signs of some elevation behind her eye, and they’re now unsure if it is benign or not.

</div>

<div>in addition her eye and head have become increasingly painful for Melody.

</div>

<div>Her surgery has gone from being urgent to emergent.

</div>

<div>The initial recovery time is between 6-12 weeks, and she will likely need an additional 8 weeks in order to get back to school.

</div>

<div>she will have a full prosthetic placed and our prayer is she will be pain free! And it will remove anything that could be harmful to her behind her eye.

<div>Jena has already exhausted her PFMLA for the year between her other two kids, and is a strong single mom with other things happening in life. she will have to be out of work for at least three months while Melody heals.
