<div>In September 2022, two-year-old Maya Chappell lost her life after suffering abuse at the hands of her mother's partner. Despite concerns being raised and opportunities to intervene, the systems designed to protect children failed to prevent her death.

<div>Since then, Maya's family have worked tirelessly to ensure that Maya's voice is heard and that lessons are turned into action. From that determination, Maya's Law was born.

<div>Maya's Law is a campaign calling for stronger child safeguarding measures, including improved information sharing, better multi-agency responses, and greater protection for children who may be at risk from known abusers.
