<div>Hello, my name is Mark Carrillo, and I’m 59 years old, soon to be 60. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but today I find myself in the toughest fight of my life — a battle with bladder cancer.

<div>A few months ago, I began having trouble urinating and noticed blood in my urine. Concerned, I went to the doctor, where they performed tests, a CT scan, and a biopsy. The results were devastating: <strong>a cancerous mass was found in my bladder, and I was told I need surgery as soon as possible to remove it.</strong>

<div>While I’m grateful to have insurance, it sadly doesn’t cover the full cost of the procedure. My out-of-pocket cost — which includes the surgeon and surgical center fees — comes out to <strong>$7,300, a sum I simply don’t have.</strong>
