<div>In 2016, I made the decision to immigrate to the United States, fleeing the murderous regime of Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro. I was able to enter the United States legally and later submitted my asylum case to USCIS within the required timeframe.

<div>Two weeks ago, I received a letter from USCIS informing me that a deportation process has been initiated against me because the evidence I presented for asylum was not considered sufficient. As a result, my case has been referred to an Immigration Judge, and I have been given a court date in February 2026.

<div>Unfortunately, I do not have the financial resources to afford an attorney. I work full-time at a daycare center and also give private English lessons to cover utility expenses. All my family lives in Texas. Sadly, I cannot leave Pennsylvania because I share custody of my youngest child with his father, and I will never abandon either of my children.

Trabajo a tiempo completo en un centro de cuidado infantil y también doy clases privadas de inglés para cubrir los gastos básicos. Toda mi familia vive en Texas. Tristemente, no puedo mudarme de Pensilvania porque comparto la custodia de mi hijo menor con su padre, y jamás abandonaré a ninguno de mis hijos.
