<div>Hello, my name is Madelyn Giroux and <strong>my grandson Johnny was taken from his parents in January 2024 and placed in DCF custody.</strong> From the moment that I heard this heart-wrenching news, I have made it my number one priority to gain guardianship. I have been fighting this battle for 15 months. I had applied both through DCF and the Springfield Juvenile Court. I followed all of the DCF directives and was in the process of being certified when the court trial for guardianship came up on 4/15. Needless to say, guardianship was granted to a very distant relative on his paternal side, someone who really doesn't know my grandson.
