<div>On Friday, September 27th, I received a call from Ladarius Spikes that I had been waiting for. We had been communicating regularly about the expected birth of his new baby boy. I picked up the call with excitement in my mind and said, "Tell me the good news." There was no good news. The news was the worst news. After 9 months of exciting anticipation, <strong>Ladarius and Felicia lost baby Abraham during the delivery.</strong> His heartbeat fell, and the emergency surgery was unable to save him. Sadly, their joy was crushed in a tragic moment that has shaken them to their core.

<div>While they hold each other and seek comfort from family, friends, and faith, they are struggling to put it all back together. Ladarius is a part-time staff member at New Vintage Church, and Felicia is planning on returning to work eventually but is still recovering.
