<div>Our friend and colleague, <strong>Karen Gassler (age 37)</strong>, was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer (BRCA2+) in November 2024.

<div>She is a busy mom of five kids and works a full-time job at Crest Wealth Management.

<div>She has endured five months of chemotherapy all while still working. On June 30th, she went in for a double mastectomy.

<div>Unfortunately, just as she thought she was able to return to work, she was told that she needed to undergo a hysterectomy, which occurred on August 5, 2025.

<div>She will now be out of work longer than anticipated. 
</div>

<div><strong>Yesterday, she found out that she will need to undergo radiation daily for five weeks with a $50 co-pay for each visit.</strong>

<div><strong>Karen is nowhere near the end of this battle against breast cancer, but the financial burden is starting to take a toll on her and the family.</strong>
