On November 27, 2021, my life took an unexpected turn when I was rushed to the hospital following an exhausting 10-hour work shift. I couldn't move, feeling incredibly weak, and noticed alarming swelling.

<div>However, the road leading to this moment of illness was paved with profound loss and trauma. Just months prior, between August and October 2021, my world was shaken by the sudden and devastating loss of four family members. Each passing left a lasting mark on my heart, and the weight of grief seemed insurmountable.

<div>Then, on November 5th, tragedy struck again when I was involved in a car accident that left my vehicle totaled. The physical and emotional toll of this event only added to the mounting challenges I was facing.

<div>In the wake of these traumatic events, my health began to suffer. Despite my efforts to soldier on, my body couldn't withstand the weight of grief, stress, and exhaustion. The culmination of these experiences led me to that fateful day in November when I found myself in the hospital, battling both illness and the burden of mounting medical bills. It was then that I received the devastating diagnosis of chronic kidney disease stage 5, also known as end-stage renal disease. I am now on dialysis permanently, awaiting the opportunity to be placed on the transplant list.

<div>Today, I stand before you, humbly asking for your support in my journey toward healing. My goal is to raise $20,000 to alleviate the financial strain of medical expenses and allow me to focus wholeheartedly on my recovery. Your generosity will not only provide relief from the weight of these bills but also serve as a beacon of hope, reminding me that I am not alone in this journey.

<div>Mi nombre es Jessie Burgos Gonzalez, y hoy me dirijo a ustedes con un corazón cargado de desafíos pero también de esperanza. El 27 de noviembre de 2021, mi vida dio un giro inesperado cuando fui llevada de urgencia al hospital después de un agotador turno de trabajo de 10 horas. No podía moverme, me sentía increíblemente débil y notaba una hinchazón alarmante.

<div>Sin embargo, el camino que me llevó a este momento de enfermedad estuvo lleno de pérdidas y traumas profundos. Apenas unos meses antes, entre agosto y octubre de 2021, mi mundo fue sacudido por la pérdida repentina y devastadora de cuatro miembros de mi familia. Cada pérdida dejó una huella imborrable en mi corazón, y el peso del duelo parecía insuperable.

<div>Luego, el 5 de noviembre, la tragedia me golpeó de nuevo cuando estuve involucrada en un accidente automovilístico que dejó mi vehículo destrozado. El costo físico y emocional de este evento solo se sumó a los desafíos crecientes que enfrentaba.

<div>En medio de estos eventos traumáticos, mi salud comenzó a deteriorarse. A pesar de mis esfuerzos por seguir adelante, mi cuerpo no pudo soportar el peso del duelo, el estrés y el agotamiento. La culminación de estas experiencias me llevó a ese fatídico día en noviembre cuando me encontré en el hospital, luchando tanto contra la enfermedad como contra la carga de las crecientes facturas médicas. Fue entonces cuando recibí el devastador diagnóstico de enfermedad renal crónica en etapa 5, también conocida como enfermedad renal en etapa terminal. Ahora estoy en diálisis permanentemente, esperando la oportunidad de ser incluido en la lista de trasplantes.

<div>Hoy, me encuentro frente a ustedes, pidiendo humildemente su apoyo en mi camino hacia la sanación. Mi objetivo es recaudar $20,000 para aliviar la carga financiera de los gastos médicos y permitirme enfocarme completamente en mi recuperación.
