<div>DanceWorks Helsinki is an independent contemporary ballet company founded by young Finnish artists who wanted to create new possibilities for dance in Finland.

<div>We believe world-class ballet and contemporary dance can be created outside traditional institutions — through community, artistic ambition and a deep love for the art form.

<div>Over the past year, we have independently produced new contemporary ballet works, employed Finnish dancers and artists, organised performances, classes and open rehearsals, and built a growing artistic community in Helsinki.

<div>Behind every performance are long rehearsal days, studio rentals, costumes, music, technical work and countless unseen hours of labour. Independent dance is built collectively, and every contribution genuinely matters.
