<div>My name is Maria, and I have been a volunteer and tutor in a Minneapolis High School with a large immigrant population for 16 years. <strong>I am raising funds to help students and their families with rent, food, and legal assistance during this difficult time.</strong> Our school does not have a PTA or wealthy and connected families who can quickly organize financial support in times of crisis. A team of teachers will prioritize the needs of families and the funds we have available. I am sending all of the Go Fund Me money we raise to a checking account for one teacher. She will write checks from her account to pay rent or buy groceries for student families.
