<div>Hi, I’m Chris Davis. 6 years ago my dad was diagnosed with vocal cord cancer, causing him to put a pause in his life. Watching someone you love face a disease that threatens not just their health, but their voice is something I’ll never forget.

<div>Thankfully, after treatment that included 6-weeks of daily radiation, and a long road of recovery, my dad is now cancer-free. We are beyond grateful. But that journey opened my eyes to how many people aren’t as fortunate as we were and <span>people who don’t catch it early, who can’t access specialized care, or who don’t even know the warning signs until it’s too late.</span>

<div>That’s why I’m running the San Diego 50-Mile Trail Race on January 10, 2026, to raise $2,500 for vocal cord cancer awareness and support. This run is a physical and mental test for me, but it’s nothing compared to what cancer patients and their families go through.
