<div>Haley is my best friend's big sister. Since middle school, she has felt like my sister as well. While she is hesitant to ask for help for her situation, I am not. Haley has been a fighter her whole life. From being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes from a young age, being a single mother to two young children, one of whom has extreme autism and must be fed through a feeding tube, and one baby who is too young to be without his momma, to being diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease and heart failure all in her twenties. Haley had to quit her job a year and three months ago because she has to spend so much time doing dialysis or being in the hospital. She lives in constant fear of having a heart attack, going into DKA, or her oxygen levels dropping.

<div><strong>What she really needs more than anything is a kidney</strong>, but until Haley can stay out of the hospital for a significant amount of time, she won’t be able to be put back on the transplant list.

<div>My knowledge on a lot of the medical aspects is limited, but what I do know is that Haley’s blood type is O+ if you would want to donate or see if you are a match. Anyone who is 0+  O - can be a match.  They also have a kidney exchange program where two people could potentially get a kidney.

<div><strong>I know I can’t be the only person who knows about Haley’s situation and would love to help in any way possible and aren’t quite sure how.</strong> Seeing as Haley hasn’t been able to work in a while due to her health, money is tight. We never know how long we will have with the people we love. I would love to make whatever time Haley has until she can get a kidney, a little bit easier for her and her two sweet boys.
