<div>Earlier this year, Gaby unexpectedly lost her health insurance during a difficult job transition. She recently began experiencing intense abdominal pain and had to be rushed to the hospital. Doctors quickly determined that she needed emergency gallbladder removal surgery — a procedure that couldn’t wait.

<div>The surgery went well (thankfully!), but the financial aftermath has been incredibly overwhelming. Without insurance, Gaby is now facing thousands of dollars in medical bills — hospital fees, surgical costs, lab tests, follow-up visits, and medication — all while trying to regain her health and stay afloat financially.
