<div>In 2023, my dad suffered from a slow-leaking rupture of the appendix, which led to sepsis and several major abdominal surgeries. Luckily, he recovered.

<div>The following year saw my stepmother in and out of the hospital with her own infections and injuries, which left her bedridden for months. Luckily, she recovered.

<div>In early 2025, my dad underwent lower-leg amputation surgery to remove a life-threatening bone infection. Around June of 2025, my stepmom became ill again, and this time, it was too much for her body to recover. After months in the hospital yet again, she was brought home for hospice care and unfortunately passed away this past October.

<div>During all these setbacks, finances have become strained, and now they're tougher than ever with Dad only having his income.
