<div>My dad was diagnosed with melanoma last month. <strong>He became really weak while receiving treatment and quickly deteriorated to stage 4.</strong> He is in hospice with very little time left. My mother is struggling with her own medical issues and is no longer able to live on her own either. I was able to find assisted living for my mother with hospice for my father. We will barely be able to afford the monthly payments. <strong>I need help covering the first month's payment; after that, I should be able to afford it each month with their social security and very modest retirement funds.</strong> I am also wondering how to cover moving expenses (I am here alone trying to get everything out of their apartment) and the inevitable burial/cremation costs that are coming.
