The destruction extends far beyond a single village, affecting thousands of Jamaicans whose lives have been upended in an instant.

Born and raised in the village, he has long been a guiding figure within the community, a mentor, a protector, and a cultural custodian. Deeply respected by elders and youth alike, Flagman has dedicated his life to uplifting others and honouring the legacy of his homeland. From working alongside Bob Marley’s mother, Cedella Booker, to spending over twenty years performing with Damian Marley and the wider Marley family, he has carried the message and soul of reggae across the world with humility and pride.

It is not just about repairing damage; it is about securing food security, preserving cultural heritage, and rebuilding a foundation for future generations.
