Evita Jane Cabelic, known as Evee to her friends and family, is a 28-year-old mother, wife, and a source of strength for many loved ones in the Philippines. Evee has always been a joyful presence—she loves to sing and is known for her kindness and willingness to help others. She supports not only her young daughter but also her disabled father and her sisters, who are still in school. Her home is a place of warmth and support for her family, and she has always been someone others can rely on.

 About six to eight months ago, Evee began experiencing recurring migraines and episodes of blurred vision. Over time, these symptoms have become more frequent and severe, making it difficult for her to work and care for her family. After a series of tests, doctors discovered that Evee has a brain tumor. She now faces a series of further tests to determine the best course of treatment, which may include medication, radiation, or surgery. Her partner has temporarily stopped working to care for her, take her to appointments, and help with daily needs, which has left the family without a steady income. Evee is unable to drive or cook, and her eight-year-old daughter and father depend on her every day.

 Evee’s health insurance does not cover the full cost of her treatment, and the family is struggling to afford the necessary care. I have been sending what I can, but the need is greater than what I can provide alone.
