Ed is currently undergoing a kidney transplant, a life-changing procedure that brings both hope and significant challenges for our family. We live 2.5 hours away from the hospital where Ed is receiving his transplant, which means he and my mom have to temporarily relocate, leaving their four young children at home for three to six weeks. This separation is difficult for all of us, but we know it’s necessary for Ed’s recovery and long-term health.

 The costs associated with Ed’s transplant are overwhelming. In addition to mounting medical bills, my parents are facing living expenses in a different city while Ed recovers. This includes housing, food, and transportation, all while managing the needs of our family back home. The emotional and financial strain is significant, but we are determined to support Ed through this journey and bring him back home healthy.
