<div>For 37 years, Toronto has been my home. Throughout my life, I've always been fiercely independent, accustomed to relying on myself and working hard to build my own life. It is incredibly difficult for me to ask for help, but a recent diagnosis has forced me to reach out to you.

<div>I have been diagnosed with cancer in both breasts, and I am scheduled for a major surgery. I know the recovery will be long and demanding.

<div>My primary source of income is driving for Uber. Due to the nature of the surgery and the lengthy recovery process, I will be unable to work for an estimated one to two years. This news has hit me not only medically but also financially.

<div>While my medical costs will be covered by the healthcare system, my biggest challenge is funding my basic living expenses during my recovery. Without my income from Uber, I will not be able to cover my rent, groceries, essential bills, and rehabilitation costs.
