On the evening of Thursday, February 5, 2026, while completing a delivery for Uber Eats, a car entered my lane and hit me without warning. I didn’t see it coming. I suffered broken bones in my left leg and now face months of recovery.

<div>This is what delivery workers face every day in New York City: dangerous streets, no safety net, and no protection when something goes wrong.

<div>As “independent contractors,” companies like Uber Eats take no responsibility for our safety or recovery when we get hurt. That’s why I created this GoFundMe. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but right now I need community support to survive while I heal.
