<div>David Pineda (Bubba) is fighting for his life after being diagnosed with desminopathy, a rare genetic disorder that severely weakens the heart and muscles. Though he’s battled unexplained fainting and muscle loss for years, his condition worsened dramatically this year, leading to life-threatening heart failure. He’s now in the ICU, kept alive by a balloon pump doing the work his failing heart no longer can, and has been urgently listed for a heart transplant.
