<div>We are Olivia Vargas and Marissa Peak from the soul-pop duo, August, from Grand Rapids, MI. We are excited to share with you that we are currently in the process of making our 3rd album, <em>Drop the Match</em>, with our dear friend and collaborator, Devin Anderson. This album is extremely special to us as it marks our journey in finding our new sound. It not only tells a story of finding a voice after heartache, but hopefully also tells a story of the many women who have made themselves small for the comfort of those around them.

<div>As many of you know, creating an album is an expensive project and it can be especially hard as independent artists. We would love it if you would consider contributing to your local arts community by aiding us in our efforts to create this album. Any contribution you give will go toward costs such as studio time, mixing/mastering, printing/packaging, and marketing materials. Our goal is to create an album that we are proud of and that can reach as many people as possible, so any contribution helps immensely. We know not everyone is in the position to donate, and if that is you, please consider sharing our gofundme page or support us by attending one of our shows this summer.

<div>We can’t thank you enough for sticking with us and supporting us these past couple of years during this new phase of August. To know people are still listening to our music and coming to our shows after almost a decade of August is incredible! We are about to embark on one of our most exciting summers of music yet and we can’t wait for you all to experience this with us. Thank you so much in advance for any help you are able to give. We can’t wait to share our upcoming album with you!
