<div>I have lived with type 1 diabetes since I was three years old, and while I’ve faced many challenges over the years, this past year has been especially difficult. <strong>I developed diabetic retinopathy very quickly, and it has already caused me to lose vision in one eye, with the possibility of losing sight in my other eye as well.</strong> I’ve already undergone one surgery, have another scheduled this week, and will likely need another in the coming months. The speed and severity of these changes have been overwhelming, and I am doing my best to stay hopeful.

<div>With all of these medical emergencies, my bills have been piling up. I am unable to work right now due to my condition, which has made it even harder to keep up with the costs of surgeries, medications, and everyday living expenses. It’s been a very humbling experience, and I am reaching out for help because I simply can’t do this alone.
