She’s soft-spoken, deeply creative, and someone who shows up for others without asking for anything in return. This diagnosis came out of nowhere, and now she’s facing months of intensive treatment.

<div>Her fiancé, Ian, has stepped into the role of full-time caregiver while also managing their home and everyday life. Both Araceli and Ian are currently on short-term disability and paid leave, but those supports only last about 12 weeks. After that, there are a lot of unknowns, and the financial pressure will continue even as treatment goes on.
