<div>I've lived in Anthem Country Club for over 20 years. As a general community and neighborhood, I love it. But there's one thing I, and many others do not - the for-profit entity - Anthem Golf &amp; Country Club (The Club)- that sits in the middle of our neighborhood and we are <strong>forced</strong> to be members of. A first-world problem? Absolutely. But the underlying issues can impact anyone. Our community is unique in that we are forced to pay to be members of a for-profit entity and have <strong>no </strong>voting rights or control over them. The only way we can exit the "contract" is to sell our homes. Meanwhile, members of the public can join and pay roughly $30 more a month and can cancel as they see fit, without having to uproot their family and move.

<div><strong>I filed a lawsuit to put this to an end - for our community and to set precedent for any similar arrangements that only benefit corporations, to the detriment of the homeowners in the communities they sit within.</strong> It will not be fast.
