<div>The Family Tragedy: Losing Patrick While Alexa has been by her daughter's side fighting this medical battle, the unthinkable happened. Patrick (31), Alexa’s husband and the children’s devoted father, died by suicide.

<div>For years Patrick struggled with mental health issues. He was the primary breadwinner for the family. His passing has left Alexa not only grieving the loss of her best friend and partner but also facing total financial uncertainty.

<div>The Situation Now: A Single Mom Fighting Alone Alexa is now a single mother of two, unable to work while she acts as Emelia’s full-time nurse and caregiver. The logistics of the next year are overwhelming:
