<div>Baby Albie was sadly diagnosed with a rare, terminal brain condition called Lissencephaly, shortly after his arrival into the world. This was a result of contracting cytomegalovirus (CMV) in utero, both of which weren’t discovered until after Albie was born.
</div>

</div>
<div>Lissencephaly will severely shorten Albie’s life and affect the development of his brain, which leads to many complications developmentally, including cerebral palsy/distress. Albie is deaf in his left ear which requires a hearing aid, as well as requiring round-the-clock care including tube feeds and regular medications. His condition is progressive so his needs will only continue to increase.

<div>This diagnosis has been a devastating blow to Albie’s entire family especially to his loving parents Hannah and Dave, and sibling Beatrix; but we are determined to provide him and his family with all the love and support he needs for this precious time that we have with him. However the road ahead is filled with challenges, both emotionally and financially.
