<div>Our cousin Alberto never expected that a routine day delivering food would change his life forever. While making deliveries in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, he witnessed a horrific car crash. One of the vehicles had overturned and was beginning to catch fire. Without hesitation, Alberto ran toward the wreckage to help the people trapped inside. His courage helped save lives.

<div> In the process of rescuing the victims, Alberto suffered a serious laceration to his left forearm. His injury will keep him out of work while he recovers, leaving him without the income he depends on to pay his bills and support himself. Anyone who knows Alberto knows he is humble, hardworking, and always willing to help others. He never sought recognition or attention. He simply saw people in danger and did what he believed was right.
