<div>Vinlandferth is a veteran-led American nonprofit bringing a historically recreated Viking longship from Denmark to America.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Built in partnership with the Museum of the Viking Ship in Roskilde, Denmark, our 50-foot Gokstad replica will set sail in June 2027 on a 90–120 day transatlantic voyage from Roskilde to Pensacola, Florida.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our route will take us through the Shetland Islands, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, L’Anse aux Meadows, Montréal, Chicago, and down the Mississippi River to the Gulf Coast.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn't just a voyage. It's living history.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our crew, composed primarily of American veterans alongside an international team, will take on this extraordinary challenge using historically inspired equipment and traditional skills wherever reasonably possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But the voyage is only the beginning.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our long-term vision is to bring the ship permanently home to the Gulf Coast and build a Viking village, Hinge Fortress, and museum dedicated to maritime heritage, education, craftsmanship, community, and creating opportunities for veterans and others to find purpose through doing, making, and belonging.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Vinlandferth was founded by U.S. Marine Corps veteran Keith Alexander, whose decade-long dream of building a Viking ship and sailing it to America has grown into an international mission.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We believe history can connect people. We believe creating something with your own hands can restore a sense of purpose. And we believe an ambitious dream can become something much bigger when a community gets behind it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now we need that community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donation helps us move this ship from Denmark to America and brings us one step closer to making this extraordinary journey a reality.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The ship is being built. The crew is preparing. The journey is coming.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Be a part of the journey today!
