<div>I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a close family friend whose life and his family’s lives were turned upside down due to a series of strokes he recently experienced. This family friend does not have medical insurance, which has made this traumatic event exponentially more stressful. Below are words from his daughter, who has picked up a second job to contribute financially to their family’s needs in addition to caring for her father during his recovery, as before his sudden illness and hospitalization, he was the primary income provider.

Seeing someone so strong, so full of love and life, suddenly lose his strength and mobility has been very heartbreaking for my family. The stroke affected his right side, making it difficult for him to walk and move the same way he used to, and it also impacted his vision, which has made daily life even more challenging.</em>

Those peaceful moments meant so much to him, and we’re hopeful he’ll be able to enjoy them again soon.</em>
