<div>My mom is facing major open-heart surgery to repair a serious blockage in one of the main arteries of her heart. We are grateful this was found and that she is receiving the care she needs. The focus now is on helping her through surgery and the healing process afterward.

<div>After surgery, doctors expect my mom to need 3 to 6 months of recovery. During this time, she will not be able to work and will need to focus on rest, rehabilitation, and regaining her strength.
