<div>Faroese-owned Bakkafrost and Norwegian-owned Norskott Havbruk (Scottish Sea Farms) have now <a href="https://donstaniford.typepad.com/files/pr-ssf-notice-of-opposition-30-april-2025-1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">filed similar SLAPPs</a> and are attempting to fence off the public waters around salmon farms in the sea, freshwater and on land as well as seeking an exclusion zone around boats, vessels and buildings.

<div>In June 2025, <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jun/29/revealed-spies-for-hire-salmon-farm-activists" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Guardian newspaper revealed</a> that Bakkafrost Scotland - when called The Scottish Salmon Company - hired a private investigator to track my movements.
