<div><strong>Maky has lived on this land for more than 45 years. Maky and Rene’s main house was destroyed, along with many other buildings including the original rock house, the greenhouse, the kitchen house, the cabins, all the solar infrastructure, animals, and all of the water tanks that supplied water to the property. The emotional loss is incalculable, but the physical damage to the property is probably at least $13 million. FEMA will only reimburse $37,000.</strong>
