<div>Sarah recently received a diagnosis of <strong>POEMS syndrome</strong>, a rare blood disorder affecting the nerves and other vital systems (estimated to affect only a tiny fraction of the population). For over two years, Sarah has bravely endured a growing list of challenging symptoms, including increasing pain, weakness, neuropathy, overwhelming fatigue, and eyesight issues. Despite these hardships, she has consistently met each day with incredible resilience and a radiant smile, rarely burdening others with her struggles.

<div>POEMS syndrome is a serious condition that can progress quickly without treatment. It can manifest in various ways, including leg weakness, breathing difficulties, organ involvement, and skin changes. While there is currently no cure, aggressive treatments such as radiation, chemotherapy, and potentially a costly stem cell transplant offer hope for managing the disease and improving Sarah's long-term outlook.
