<div>On July 1st 2025, my dear friend Sara’s husband Tarek was illegally abducted by ICE. Their family has legal status here in the United States while they await their court hearing in the upcoming year. Tarek’s family and friends are devastated by his wrongful abduction and are worried for his health and safety. Thankfully, he has been allowed to contact his family but the situation he described being kept in at the detention center is abominable. He is only being given sips of water and very little food. The detainees are kept underground so they do not know what time of day or night it is. Tarek is also in a full formal suit from work as they have not allowed a change of clothing.

<div>Tarek and Sara are incredibly kind and generous people, sharing their joy of life and sense of community with everyone they meet.
