<div>On Thursday September 18 my husband, Alex, was on his way to work sitting quietly on the metro north train when a fellow passenger accused him of sitting disrespectfully and made racially charged comments. An MTA Conductor then called the police on him. the officers boarded the train, accused him of disturbing the peace, handcuffed him, dragged him off the train, questioned him on the platform, and unjustly searched his belongings.

<div>This experience has been confusing, painful and traumatizing for our family. Just days before this horrible incident, Alex and I got married at a beautiful ceremony with our friends and family. The last thing we ever expected was for Alex to be racially profiled on his regular commute to work and end up in handcuffs so tight they left marks on his wrist.
