<div>I'm raising money to help my grandson, Axel Joseph Thompson, get the medical care he needs. Please read about his conditions in his mom's words: "Our sweet 18-month-old son, <strong>Axel, has been diagnosed with Type 1 Chiari Malformation</strong>, a serious condition where part of the brain pushes into the spinal canal. In addition to this, Axel has severe scoliosis that is pressing into his lung, making it difficult for him to breathe properly. These conditions combined make surgery critical for his health and future."

<div>Axel’s brain surgery is scheduled for January 10 in Detroit, Michigan—four hours away from our home. Following the surgery, he will need to stay in the hospital for 3 to 5 days to recover, and we’ll need to be close by to support him during this critical time. Additionally, I will need to take six weeks off work to care for Axel during his recovery at home.
