Mientras caminaba de regreso a casa en la Intercepción de la Lexington Ave y Jackson St, Passaic NJ, una conductora imprudente lo atropelló, dejándolo gravemente herido. Hoy, desde su cama en el Hospital St. Joseph's de Paterson NJ, con fracturas y un largo camino de recuperación por delante, su rostro aún conserva esa humildad que siempre lo ha definido… pero también vemos la sombra del dolor y la incertidumbre.
