Hello everyone,

We have some very positive news to share today. First, we want to say **thank you** from the bottom of our hearts for the overwhelming love, support, and donations you’ve shown. It means the world to Queralt and her family.

On January 27th, Queralt went into surgery at 9 AM for a crucial craniotomy. The procedure lasted about three hours and was a **success**. The surgical team was able to successfully remove the blood from her brain, which is a major and critical step forward.

Her strength is already shining through. She is healing remarkably well, so well that she has **already been moved from the ICU to a regular hospital ward**. This is fantastic progress!

The doctors expect her to need care in the ward for at least a week, but if she continues on this positive trajectory, she could be discharged sooner. Every day is a step closer to bringing her home.

While we celebrate this wonderful news, the financial reality remains a significant challenge. The cost of the surgery and ICU alone is approximately **$18,000**. Thanks to the incredible, rapid response of her immediate circle, the majority of this initial bill has been covered through a combination of **her family's resources and the collective savings of close friends.**

This immediate action was vital, but it represents just the first step. Now, with her continued care in the ward, medications, and the long road of rehabilitation ahead, the need for broader support continues. **We are turning to our wider community to help shoulder the ongoing costs of her full recovery.**

**We are so grateful for every single donation that has come in so far.** It has directly helped make this lifesaving care possible. To support the next phase of her journey—covering ongoing hospital costs and ensuring she has what she needs for a full recovery—we humbly ask you to **consider sharing the fundraiser and donating if you are able.**

Your support is giving her the chance to heal without the added stress of financial burden. Let’s keep this momentum of love and hope going.

We will continue to provide updates as she progresses. Thank you for being part of her healing circle.

With deepest gratitude,

Karen Massine
