<div>I’ve had gene testing, so I know my children will not have to endure it. Hopefully, it stops and ends with me, Lord willing. My oncologist recommended I have a double mastectomy. At first, I was undecided, but I’d rather lose my breasts than my kids lose me. My last treatment regimen included a lumpectomy and the bottom half of my left breast removed. I have to meet with my surgeon again next week to find out when they would like to schedule my surgery. I am going to be back out of work, and I’m terrified of what that looks like for my kids and myself, especially with school coming up.

<div>I’m handling this the best way I know how. Mentally and emotionally, I have to be strong. I cannot bend in front of my kids; they cannot see it. I am afraid to tell them it’s back, but I know at some point, I’m going to have to break the news to them. I’d be lying if I said I was not terrified of what I’m up against, but I’m fighting. I refuse to go down without a fight. <strong>On behalf of my family, I’m asking, can you please share this even if you cannot donate?</strong> I know everyone is going through something, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. For my kids' sake, I’ll put my pride to the side because they are what matter the most. I don’t know why this is happening or why God allowed it, but I know one day I will be telling my testimony. Whether it’s a dollar or just a share, please share.
