<div>Last Sunday, September 21st, my husband had an accident.

<div>He was doing some repairs around the house and fell from an 8-foot ladder.

<div><strong>He broke his collarbone (clavicle) in 2 places</strong>; they had to put a plate and some screws in it.

</div>

<div><strong>He also broke seven ribs</strong>, for which they do not have surgery or can even put a cast.

</div>

<div>He stayed in the hospital for 5 days.

</div>

<div>They sent him home with some strong pain meds and told me he must follow up with an orthopedist later.

</div>

<div>From what I was able to gather, his recovery will be slow and painful. Ribs usually take between 4 and 12 Weeks to heal. 

</div>

<div>Considering he is <strong>63 years old</strong>, I know it will not be only 4 Weeks. 

</div>

<div>He can't use his left arm due to the fracture on the clavicle (Collarbone). He is not supposed to lift any weight with it.

</div>

<div>He is doing breathing exercises every 6 minutes when awake to prevent his lungs from collapsing and getting pneumonia.

</div>

<div>Besides being heavily medicated.

</div>

<div>A few years ago, he decided to go back to school. He is a full-time student and a senior at UCF.

</div>

<div>A significant issue complicating matters is that he is unable to undertake any freelance work as an IT professional to pay our bills.  

</div>
