<div>My name is Yarissa Suarez, and I am a pastor, small business owner, community advocate, and a single mother of two incredible boys, ages 10 and 20.

<div>Almost 3 years ago, I opened Café La Fe at 70 E 1st Street in the East Village of Manhattan with one simple mission: to create a place where people could find community, hope, encouragement, and a warm meal.

</div>
<div>While Cafe is a Christian cafe, everyone is welcome, regardless of their faith or background. Whether you’re looking for coffee, a place to study, someone to talk to, or simply a meal because you’re struggling, our doors are open. We believe no one should be turned away. If you’re hungry, we’ll do everything we can to feed you.

<div>This place has become more than a coffee shop, it has become:

<div>- A welcoming gathering place for our neighborhood.
</div>
<div>-An official NYC Reading Hub where children can learn and grow.
</div>
<div>-A safe space for families, students, and community members.

<div>-A place where people experience kindness, encouragement, and hope.

<div>Unfortunately, like many small businesses, we are now facing one of the hardest seasons of our lives.
</div>

</div>
<div>Rising costs, increasing rent, financial hardship, and more have pushed us to the brink of closing. Despite applying for assistance, my request was denied, and I have run out of options.
</div>

</div>
<div>On top of potentially losing Cafe La Fr, my family is also at risk of losing our home, so I have to make a decision whether or not to close this Cafe or my home.
</div>

</div>
<div>If we cannot raise the funds we need, Café La Fe will close on June 30, 2026.

<div>Mi nombre es Yarissa Suárez, soy pastora, dueña de un pequeño negocio, líder comunitaria y madre soltera de dos hijos maravillosos de 10 y 20 años.

<div>Hace casi tres años abrí Café La Fe, ubicado en el 70 E 1st Street, en el Lower East Side de Manhattan, con una misión muy sencilla: crear un lugar donde las personas pudieran encontrar comunidad, esperanza, ánimo y una comida caliente.

<div>Aunque Café La Fe es una cafetería cristiana, todos son bienvenidos, sin importar su fe o su trasfondo. Ya sea que busques un café, un lugar para estudiar, alguien con quien hablar o simplemente necesites una comida porque estás pasando por un momento difícil, nuestras puertas están abiertas. Creemos que nadie debe ser rechazado. Si tienes hambre, haremos todo lo posible por alimentarte.
