The second treatment, rituximab, could not be administered because she developed bronchopneumonia, making her condition too fragile to proceed. Although she no longer requires a ventilator, she remains unconscious and in an encephalopathic state, showing significant brain damage.

<div>We are from <strong>Chiclayo, Peru</strong>, and she is currently being treated at the Regional Hospital of Lambayeque. Her life remains at serious risk, and <strong>we are trying to transfer her to the capital—about a 12-hour drive away—where a specialized children’s hospital can provide the advanced care she urgently needs.</strong> Our family has very limited financial resources and depends entirely on government health insurance.
