<div>Dr. Josephine English, one of New York’s first Black female gynecologists, always dreamed for this mansion to become a sanctuary of healing, creativity, and hope. Over the years, it has served as a gathering space for elders, artists, entrepreneurs, and youth - a living monument to the spirit of Bed-Stuy.

<div>The courts have ordered the immediate sale of 375 Stuyvesant Avenue due to a tax lien. If sold on the open market, it could be transformed into yet another commercial venture - erasing decades of community history and displacing the very people who helped build it.
