<div>I am Laura Landi and I am running the TCS New York City Marathon with Team AFBS to stand with the Nemaline Myopathy community and support children, teenagers and adults who face daily challenges because of this disease.

<div>I had the chance to be Cecilia's teacher at school for two years, a girl who was born with Nemaline Myopathy, which  is a rare muscle disorder that affects breathing, swallowing, and mobility and I am running to stand with her and her family, to turn miles into momentum for real change.

<div>A Foundation Building Strength is the only organization 100 percent focused on finding treatments for Nemaline Myopathy. Right now they are leading a historic research effort to advance gene therapy and prepare for clinical trials. Their commitment of millions toward research is the most important step we have toward effective treatments that could transform lives.
