<div>My name is Malak, and I am writing this with a heart full of sorrow as the older sister of a beautiful young woman in Gaza named Basma.
</div>
<div>Basma is 19 years old, born with <strong>Spina Bifida</strong>, a severe birth defect that left her unable to walk or control her bladder.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As if that wasn’t enough, her kidneys are now failing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her body is swollen with toxins. She cries all night in pain. She is too weak to sit, and her life is slowly fading before our eyes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since our home was destroyed, we now live in a tent — with no clean water, no electricity, no toilet, and no access to medical care.
</div>
<div>She doesn’t even have a mattress. She sits and sleeps directly on the bare sand, under the burning sun by day and in freezing cold by night.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are not just battling disability — we are battling famine.
</div>
<div>We can’t find food, and we can’t afford to provide the nourishment her fragile body needs to survive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My entire family is terrified for her. We do everything we can, but this situation is far beyond what any family can endure alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why I am begging the world:
</div>
<div>Please, don’t let her die like this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Basma Needs:</strong>
</div>
<div>.Kidney medications and dialysis support
</div>
<div>.Catheters and medical diapers
</div>
<div>Nutritious food to keep her alive
</div>
<div>.A pressure-relief pillow to prevent bedsores
</div>
<div>.A safe place to sleep — not the sand inside a tent
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/79851629_1755351684933751_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are not asking for luxury.
</div>
<div>We are begging for survival.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Basma didn’t choose to be born disabled.</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>She didn’t choose war, poverty, or famine.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But today — you can choose to be the reason she lives.
</div>
<div>If you cannot donate, please share her story.
</div>
<div><strong>Every dollar, every share, every prayer... truly matter </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>‍How donations will be used:</strong>
</div>
<div>Donations will cover Basma’s treatment, medications, tests, daily needs, and physical therapy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Where basma and her family are living after they loss their home - in a tent -
