My Dad, Richie Martisch, recently passed away. He suffered from dementia, he took the dog for a walk one day, down the backroads, it started snowing, reducing visibility causing him to get lost. After search parties, helicopters, drones and all that in between, they found him passed away, died of hypothermia. He was such a great friend and father and everyone misses him dearly.

This GoFundMe is raising money for his Celebration of Life and I want to make it special. He was a bartender for over 25 years and it’s what he loved doing. In honor of my Dad, his Celebration of Life will be at the same bar he worked at for most of that time. (Snag Bar, Red Lodge MT 1pm)

Hopefully we can raise enough for an open bar or free food for whoever comes, anything helps, just want to make it as special as I can. He didn’t deserve to die like that but he does deserve this at least. I can never repay him for all the memories and everything he taught me, but this is a step. I want to make this a special event that’s deserving for such a good man.

He had such an impact on so many people. The world just ain’t the same without him. He would always have a smile on his face that would put a smile on yours. No matter what he was going through he always had a bright attitude and never let anything slow him down, all the way to the end. Always helping others when they felt it was too much to ask. A pure heart. Always humming a tune or being the funny guy we all needed on those bad days. We miss you so much buddy. There will never be another Richie Martisch.
