</div>

<li><strong>Dramatische Kürzungen</strong> im Kulturetat von Stadt und Land lassen Fördermittel ausbleiben. In diesem Jahr wurden bereits 5 eigentlich aussichtsreiche Projektanträge abgelehnt. Jeder einzelne hätte uns retten können. So stehen wir in diesem Jahr mit etwa der Hälfte unseres Verdienstes da, mit dem wir eigentlich alle Kosten dieses Ortes decken.

<li>Unsere privaten und betrieblichen Reserven sind seit Corona <strong>aufgebraucht</strong>, alles floss in diesen Ort. Neue Rücklagen konnten wir noch nicht bilden. Kreditlinien sind ausgeschöpft.

<li>Gleichzeitig stiegen <strong>Energie- und Betriebs- und Lebenshaltungskosten</strong>

<div><strong>Who we are</strong>
</div>
<div>We are the <strong>Alte Wursterei (The Old Sausage Factory)</strong>, a cultural center in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, supported by the non-profit disdance project gUG and Paula Scherf and André Lehnert. In 2019, we transformed this place from a sausage factory ripe for demolition into this beautiful gem with our own funds and our own hands.

<div>We want to make cultural participation possible for everyone:

<li>Many of our offerings are based on<strong> solidarity-based admission</strong> fees based on self-assessment, while others are free of charge.

<li>Families, neighbors, and art lovers from Cologne Ehrenfeld, but also from all over Cologne, meet here.

<div><strong>What threatens us</strong>
</div>
<ul>
<li>Dramatic cuts in the city and state's cultural budget mean that funding is not forthcoming. This year, five promising project applications have already been rejected. Each one could have saved us. As a result, this year we are left with about half of our income, which we actually use to cover all the costs of this place.
</li>
<li>Our private and business reserves have been depleted since Corona, everything went into this place. We have not yet been able to build up new reserves. Credit lines have been exhausted.
</li>
<li>At the same time, energy, operating, and living costs have risen.
</li>

<div>Without immediate financial assistance, we are threatened with closure—and with it, the loss of a unique place for creative education and social interaction.
